Literacy Festival

A celebration of reading featuring Dr. Seuss's most well-loved characters! Activities include stories, music, food, bounce houses, and face painting. 

Complementing the event will be a community mural painting by MUSE Award artist, Ya La'ford.
Children are invited to participate in the creating of "Lift Every WORD and READ" mural. This permanent community project will be a visual translation of James Weldon Johnson's anthem "Lift Every Voice and Sing", mounted on the wall of the Johnson Community Library. 

All ages welcome to join us for this free and open to the public event produced by the Friends of the Johnson Library.
